Haha, I hear a little pent up frustration in your post, but it's all good stuff :P

As a dps, I kinda chuckle when you guys talk about your little "competition" game between healing mainly out of ignorance and stuff lol, but I believe that competition is necessary from all classes and roles to maintain good performance. When people are actively competitive, you can most likely assume that each individual is taking personal accountability for their actions, which is absolutely necessary for an ever-improving raid group. Also, meter watchers tend to be more analytical in their approach to the game, and are more likely to ask questions and get answers then to say "The raid lived, I'm doing my job".

You could also relate your performance comparisons to Patchwerk and Firefighter....that seems to register better for me hehe.
